South Beach covers South of Fifth, Ocean Drive, Collins Avenue and Washington Avenue up to Lincoln Road, Flamingo Park and West Avenue on the bay side. It is the busiest part of Miami Beach for hotels and evenings out. Mid-Beach and North Beach hotels are further north, and the MIA to Miami Beach page covers those rides.
Hotel entrances and closed blocks
Many South Beach hotels have a small front entrance, a side street for loading or a valet lane shared with taxis. Blocks of Ocean Drive and some streets around Lincoln Road can be closed to cars. Give the hotel name, not only the address, and the chauffeur stops at the nearest legal point and carries the bags with you.
Cruise day from South Beach to PortMiami
PortMiami is across the MacArthur Causeway, usually 15-25 minutes from a South Beach hotel. Cruise mornings and weekend traffic on the causeway add time. Give the ship name, the terminal and the boarding window, and choose a Cadillac Escalade ESV or a Sprinter when the party has large suitcases.
Evenings out without parking
Parking in South Beach on a weekend night is slow and expensive. With an hourly booking the chauffeur drops you at the restaurant, waits, and takes you on to Lincoln Road or a club and back to the hotel. Put the first stop and the end time in the notes; if the night runs longer, message dispatch.
