Write down every child, every age, every seat
A good seat request names each child with the age, and the seat type you expect: an infant seat for a baby, a toddler seat for a small child, a booster for an older one. Put that in the comment field next to the flight number. Dispatch reads it before your pickup is confirmed, so a late change of plan is easier to handle when you send it early.
Van or SUV for the family
Seats take room, and so do strollers, car seat bags and cruise luggage. A family of four with two suitcases rides well in a Cadillac Escalade ESV. Grandparents, cousins or two families on the same cruise usually need a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van, where the seats go in the rows and the bags go in the back without anyone holding a suitcase on the lap.
From the plane to the ship with small children
Cruise mornings at PortMiami are busy, and the terminals sit close together on Dodge Island. Give the ship, the terminal and the boarding time from the cruise line. The chauffeur drops you at the right terminal curb and unloads the bags and the stroller, and the car seats stay in the vehicle, so you walk in with the children and the carry-on.
Landing at MIA or FLL with a stroller
Add the flight number, and the pickup follows the actual landing time instead of the schedule. Free waiting after landing is 60 minutes, which leaves time for a diaper change, baggage claim and a stroller from the gate. At the car the chauffeur loads the bags and the folded stroller while you settle the children into the seats.

How much does a child seat cost?
Each child seat is $25, added to the ride price, so two seats add $50. The ride itself is priced per vehicle, not per passenger: an Escalade ESV transfer starts from $129 and a Sprinter van from $156. The booking form adds the seats and shows the full total before you confirm.
How do I request a car seat or a booster?
In the booking form open Additional options, choose Child seat and set how many you need, from 1 to 4. Then use the comment field for the age of each child and the type you want: an infant seat, a toddler seat or a booster.
When is the seat confirmed?
A seat stays a request until dispatch confirms it. Dispatch checks the ages, the seat types, the date and the vehicle, and replies before payment. If a type cannot be confirmed for your pickup time, you learn it then, not at the curb with the children and the bags.
Which vehicle suits a family with car seats?
A Cadillac Escalade ESV works for one family with suitcases and a couple of seats. A Mercedes-Benz Sprinter is the van for bigger families, two families together or a cruise party with strollers. Count every child in the passenger number, add the large bags, and dispatch confirms that seats and luggage fit.
Is there a PortMiami shuttle with car seats?
The ride is private, only your family and your bags, not a shared shuttle with stops for other passengers. From MIA to the cruise terminals it is usually 15-25 minutes. Add the ship name and the terminal, and the pickup is planned for the boarding window from your cruise line.
Do you also pick up at FLL and Port Everglades?
Yes. Fort Lauderdale airport, Port Everglades and hotels in Broward use the same booking form and the same seat request. FLL to the Port Everglades terminals is a short ride of about 10-15 minutes, and FLL to PortMiami is about 45-55 minutes.
Can the seats stay in the car for a day out?
Yes. Book the vehicle by the hour for a zoo visit, a beach day or family dinners, and the seats remain in the car between stops while the chauffeur waits. Hourly hire of an Escalade ESV starts hourly from $146.
